At Turning Point of Tampa, we provide treatment services to those who suffer from addiction, eating disorders, drug treatment, and dual-diagnosis issues.
Since 1987, Turning Point of Tampa has been a family-owned facility focused on 12-Step oriented, quality care for men and women 18 years or older. Located on one campus, our programs feature highly-credentialed staff providing real structure, teaching clients how to practice 12-Step principles, in a licensed, residential setting where group counseling is the keystone.
At Turning Point of Tampa, our team members share a singular focus – dedication to our clients.
Our program philosophy has been consistent for over 30 years. We started Turning Point of Tampa in 1987, believing that the daily application of a 12-Step program is the answer for alcoholics, addicts and those suffering from eating disorders. Clients who come to our facility are those who need the structure and guidance of a 12-Step program, PLUS the addition of therapy, psychiatric evaluation and care, as well as other disciplines of treatment. We have never wavered from this belief and never compromised what we believe in for the sake of the next “best quick cure” in the industry. If you are looking for a facility that adheres to what they believe in and applies those standards and ethics in their organizational culture and lives, then you should consider Turning Point of Tampa.

When I got to Turning Point I was desperate and seeking insight into a poisonous situation. I was standing at the edge of despair and hopelessness, against a set of circumstances I had no idea how to cope with. I was progressively getting worse. Everyday my obsession with drinking was getting worse, never better. I was completely dishonest with myself and others. I was up against a solid wall of pain with darkness was closing in. Turning Point put me back on solid ground, brought me back into the sunlight and gave me a mental tool box to open up and use daily. What else can I say? We end up in joy, that is, as long as we put forth the effort and time and walk into the sunlight. -Ron B.
"Addiction is such a difficult disease to treat, yet I can't imagine anyone being more committed to making a difference than the team at Turning Point of Tampa. Everyone we met was great, from admissions to the business office, residential and outpatient counselors, nursing and the family group leaders. This is about as skilled and caring a group of people as you’ll ever find in this area. I hope addiction never touches you or your family, but if it does, we recommend Turning Point of Tampa. "
"Turning Point of Tampa has truly been a place for dramatic life changes in me. It has been only through this program that I was able to admit my disease. Without it, I would have certainly continued toward a path of grave destruction."
"Turning Point has truly been just as the name says… my 'turning point'. After many years of addiction and chaos, through the program at Turning Point and efforts and support of the entire staff, I leave here with the tools to live a happy, meaningful life. Thank you to everyone here for saving my life."
“I was dying when I got here and you brought me back to life. I was greeted with smiles and hugs and this felt good. I worked hard and did what you told me, trusting the staff and the process. You are all in my heart. I am going to the next step of recovery. Turning Point was my home.”
"Thank you for all your help and support. I initially came here in total denial but Turning Point opened my eyes and led me on my road to recovery. I will forever remain indebted to this program and its staff."
"We were saddened and shocked after our daughter who had ten good years of sobriety again succumbed to alcohol abuse. Our anxieties and worries had long faded away and our family was intact. Thankfully, our daughter recognized that she needed professional help. After researching addiction treatment centers, Turning Point of Tampa kept coming up as best in class. We are happy we chose them because not only have they helped our daughter find recovery, but it has made a tremendous change in our entire family. Out daughter might not be here today and our marriage would be finished. Through the weekly follow up Family meetings that are offered we have learned that the disease affects the whole family. We have also learned that by staying out of the way of the addict as well as taking care of ourselves, we have made improvements in our lives."
"My loved one's treatment was successful because Turning Point of Tampa helped him get to the emotional and psychological issues causing his dependency issues. It also was instrumental in my own recovery by means of the weekly Family Support Group."
