Turning Point of Tampa is a Cigna Center of Excellence

Turning Point of Tampa has received the 2022 Center of Excellence designation for substance use disorders based on the cost and clinical quality measurements. The Cigna Center of Excellence designation is an honor that only those top providers can earn.

Our facility scored high in-patient outcomes and cost efficiency. We are thrilled to be among other behavioral health providers that have received this award and that we continue to be considered one of the centers of excellence for substance use disorder treatment.

What does the Center of Excellence Designation Mean?

The Cigna Center of Excellence designation is designed to meet the growing demand of customers for quality and cost information that can help them make informed choices about where to seek care.

Patient outcomes and cost-efficiency metrics are based on Cigna methodology, which uses nationally recognized standards that include:

  • National accreditation
  • Total number of annual admissions
  • Readmission rates
  • Total cost per episode
  • Seven-day ambulatory follow-up
  • Discharge to a network-participating provider

How can Treatment Centers become part of the Centers of Excellence Program?

Participating treatment facilities can be evaluated to determine if they meet the requirements to be a designated Cigna Center of Excellence.

The Cigna Centers of Excellence program evaluates patient outcomes and cost data for network-participating providers.

Residential treatment locations can receive a score of up to three stars for patient outcomes and three stars for cost efficiency. If a facility attains at least five stars, it is designated as a Cigna Center of Excellence.

Turning Point of Tampa is a Behavioral Health Provider for Addiction Treatment

Our program philosophy has been consistent for over 35 years. We started Turning Point of Tampa in 1987, believing that the daily application of a 12-Step program is the answer for alcoholics, addicts and those suffering from eating disorders.

Clients who come to our facility participate in therapy, psychiatric evaluation and individual care, as well as other disciplines of treatment. Clients are given the structure and guidance of a 12-Step program.

We have never wavered from this belief and never compromised what we believe in for the sake of the next “best quick cure” in the industry.

If you are looking for a facility that adheres to what they believe in and applies those standards and ethics in their organizational culture and lives, then you should consider Turning Point of Tampa.

Why Choose Turning Point of Tampa?

We will continue to maintain Turning Point of Tampa as a nationally recognized leader in the field of addiction treatment.

We will provide an opportunity for recovery to every client and instill the promise of hope for a better life.  We will nurture an atmosphere where employees and clients feel empowered and respected.

It is our pledge to value, appreciate and respect the dignity of every client, employee and friend. That, we believe, is how we can help people reach the turning point in their lives.
