Drug Addiction and Substance Abuse in the United States

Addiction is a chronic brain disease that affects every element of life: mind, body, and spirit. Drug addiction spares no demographic, no segment of society; it disregards racial, political, religious, economic, gender, social, and geographic distinctions.

Substance abuse harms individuals and destroys families, friendships, and employment relationships. Substance use disorders are complex issues, that are best addressed in the highest quality treatment centers.

The treatment services at Turning Point of Tampa address these complex issues by offering the highest quality of care. Turning Point of Tampa strives to equip all of our patients and their families with the tools for success while receiving services at our 52 bed facility in Tampa Florida.

Industry Leaders in the Addiction Treatment Industry

NAATP treatment providers get access to a yearly conference to bring together thought leaders who are instrumental in developing the ethical standards and conduct of care for alcohol and drug treatment providers. NAATP leadership provides advocacy for treatment providers with industry leaders in Washington, DC.

Professionalism Violations

The CEO has testified before congress about professionalism violations and ethical problems the treatment industry continually faces.

Complex issues such as insurance utilization, parity enforcement, emerging treatment options, ethics and professionalism violations within the addiction treatment industry are important for all NAATP members.

The incredible leadership and guidance to all member organizations, as well as training and guidance for issues such as equity, diversity, inclusion and practice standards is reflected in the services offered.

The advocacy committees are run by NAATP members and ensure that leadership voices are heard on Capitol Hill at both a national and state level.

Can Anyone Join NAATP?

According to the NAATP website to join NAATP, there have been new member categories added for NAATP membership: supporter and affiliate.
