Peter Johnson

My name is Peter Johnson, I am the Business Office Director at Turning Point of Tampa. Turning Point of Tampa has a long history of good standing in the community. I have worked at our facility beginning in 2016. Part of my duties include the oversight of utilization review and billing.

Utilization review is between a client’s insurance company and our facility. Following the diagnostic criteria for each level of care is imperative to access length of stay. We have relationships with insurance companies and are always advocates on our clients’ behalf.

Billing as an in-network facility means Turning Point has agreed to the terms set forth in a predetermined rate by the client’s insurance allowing them to access services at our facility. Once insurance benefits are verified, we can explain the client’s responsibility based on their individual insurance policy. Deductible and co-payments are explained to all clients and/or their families prior to admission.
