This group facilitates recreations of real life situations to allow clients the opportunity to evaluate their behavior and more deeply understand themselves and their reactions to life.

Why We Use Group Therapy
Turning Point of Tampa incorporates a wide variety of therapy modalities and groups to treat addiction and mental health issues. We offer many different types of group therapy because we understand that no single format will fit every client, as we have clients who are demographically different, have had many relapses and possibly live with a dual diagnosis.
We believe in “Recovery through Responsibility” and want to be able to offer all of the therapeutic tools necessary to lead someone into recovery. To that end, we utilize a comprehensive, highly structured approach conducted in a safe, supportive environment. There, we place an emphasis on the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the whole person.
At Turning Point of Tampa, we recognize the need to provide simultaneous treatment for mental health issues as well as addiction and eating disorders. Using these modalities provides individualized treatment, depending on the specific needs of each client.
Our clients should expect recovery for themselves and their families if they follow the directions of the clinical team, which includes personalized writing assignments, the guidance of their respective sponsors and support network, as well as honesty, open-mindedness, and willingness to change. These are the keys to maintain a life free from addiction.
Our clinical Staff facilitating these groups are either Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors or Master’s level therapists with specialties in Professional Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, to name a few.
