There have been recent reports of a spike in alcohol sales, drug overdoses and an increase in suicidal ideation since this Coronavirus surfaced. With many people forced into isolation, family members unable to see loved their ones, and others facing job loss, mental health professionals are positioned to help with the current mental health of Americans. However, mental health professionals and medical professionals alike are reporting that they too, are experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout and fatigue.
Hardeep Singh, MD, FASAM, is a Psychiatrist who has been in private practice here in Tampa Bay since 1991 and is a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Singh is also the Medical Director here at Turning Point of Tampa where he provides psychiatric intervention to our clients in treatment.
