Evelyn Taylor

My name is Evelyn Taylor and I’m the Clinical Nurse Manager at Turning Point of Tampa. Working in the field of addiction since 2014 led me to start working as a nurse for Turning Point in December of 2021.

I’m one of the first people a new client will see when coming into treatment. I ensure clients are medically stable to be treated for substance use disorder or an eating disorder. This process includes taking vital signs and getting a thorough history of their alcohol and drug use. This initial assessment is critical at the beginning of treatment. We welcome all new clients into a warm and protected environment, knowing their health is priority.

Throughout treatment all clients have access to medical, and we address all withdrawal symptoms, post withdrawal symptoms, and daily ailments such as a cold or headache.

Administrative Nurse Manager

I started my own journey of recovery at Turning Point of Tampa. I believe my experiences offer a unique perspective that allow clients to feel comfortable knowing I have walked in their shoes. The most rewarding part of my position at Turning Point is seeing a person come in not feeling well, spiritually, mentally, physically, and somewhat broken, then leave a completely different person. Transformations happen at Turning Point.
