Turning Point of Tampa's residential programs consist
of three levels of care:
Level I: Level I provides highly focused,
intensive, 24-hour treatment in a structured environment.
This level addresses issues such as maintaining abstinence,
relapse prevention, acceptance/denial, dysfunctional
relationships, and trauma issues while promoting personal
responsibility.
Level II: The requirements for direct
admission to level of care are--completion of a previous
intensive 28-30 day program, and clinical assessment.
Level II continues with therapy and includes 20 hours
or work per week. It is concerned with transition into
the community through employment, attending school,
or performing volunteer work while attending afternoon
and evening groups. For some clients, this represents
the first time they are able to function as recovering,
responsible, contributing members of society.
Level III: There are no direct admissions
to Level III. This level is achieved through completion
of Level II only. At this level of care, clients must
work or volunteer 40 hours per week, along with attending
a minimum of 11 hours of group meetings per week, including
an individual session.
For all levels of care, special emphasis is placed on
optimizing daily living skills to ensure beneficial
transition into the community while maintaining a recovery-based
lifestyle.
