Turning Point of Tampa’s day treatment program
offers a structured, intensive treatment program for
clients not meeting the criteria for residential treatment
but requiring a more intensive level of treatment than
outpatient services provides.
Turning Point of Tampa’s clinical staff are dedicated,
experienced professionals who provide supportive, structured
therapy. Our Medical Director is a board certified psychiatrist
who reviews cases and performs psychiatric evaluations
and follow-up.
Day treatment clients will be provided the education,
therapy, and structured environment essential to begin
new recovery skills. Turning Point of Tampa’s
treatment philosophy is based on a 12-Step model with
a focus on relapse prevention. Clients participate in
groups, lectures, workshops, individual sessions, and
other treatment modalities as outlined by their individualized
treatment plans and as developed by the client and the
therapeutic team.
Program Focus:
- Recognition and acceptance of the disease process
and the
need for change;
- Identification of the tools necessary to maintain
a healthy,
recovery-based lifestyle;
- Motivation to utilize those tools on a daily basis
to maintain
recovery.
Additional Services Include:
- Individual and group therapy
- Educational groups
- Individual nutritional counseling, if needed
- 12-Step education and community meetings
- Comprehensive family program for family and/or
significant other
- Individualized treatment planning and aftercare
planning
- Clients are invited to attend Turning Point's weekly
aftercare support groups at no charge
