Intervention
Turning Point of Tampa has been featured in the last two seasons of A&E’s television show “Intervention.” We are proud of our service to the still suffering addict, alcoholic, and eating disordered community and grateful for the ongoing recovery of two very special individuals.

Robert Elliott
9/18/50 – 1/19/09

On January 19, 2009, house manager Robert Elliott passed away. Bob, aka “Night Crawler Bob” or “Midnight Bob” will be very missed by his coworkers and friends in the recovering community. Over the course of his nine years of employment with Turning Point, Bob readily shared his experience, strength and hope with more than 3,000 clients. A favorite Turning Point memory of Bob was when a brand new client had fallen asleep on his couch and Bob went into his house to check on him. He gently woke the client, who then opened his eyes and asked Bob “Am I dead? Are you an angel?” Bob just laughed and said “not yet” to both questions. Bob’s sense of humor, his fishing stories, and his willingness to be of service to Turning Point and in the recovering community was strong example of recovery in action
